How We Help
Our branch covers a very large rural area including Cirencester, Stroud and Tetbury. We offer information, friendship and support to local people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers, each have different needs. We look to provide respite, an ear to listen or a chance to laugh and live well with Parkinson’s.
We aim to provide regular activities, social gatherings, speaker events as well as trips, outings, exercise & other physical activities all to help people living with Parkinson’s in our area. However, for any medical advice, this needs to be sought from Parkinson’s Consultants, Advisors and Nurses – contact details.
- Parkinson’s Nurse Specialist Service: 0300 422 6610 or (ghn-tr.parkinsonsteam@nhs.net), for help with conditions or difficulties
We are self-funded through donations and fundraising, most of our efforts every year go to funding research projects under the aegis of Parkinson’s UK to help find a cure. Other funds are used to provide the support and interesting activities for our branch members.
Our branch members enjoy meeting up for a coffee and a chat, listening to each other’s stories on how they are living with Parkinson’s. Check out the Events we organise.
